About Mary Portela

Welcome. Above all else, my journey and my work are entirely about gratitude. I am deeply grateful that you are connecting with my energy right now, and that simply by sharing my story with you, I can already bring this light into your life.

Born in Brazil, my journey into the subtle energies of the universe began the moment I arrived in this world. Growing up in a deeply spiritual family, my everyday life was naturally woven with ancestral rituals, the profound healing power of herbs, and the loving teachings of Jesus, representing the Christ consciousness of Sananda. Immersed in a rich culture where diverse faiths seamlessly blend, I carry within me the sacred knowledge of the Indigenous nations of Brazil as well as the deep wisdom of Afro Brazilian traditions. I learned early on that spirituality is a living, breathing practice.

Long before offering my healing sessions here in Canada, I dedicated years of my life to rigorous spiritual exploration. I immersed myself deeply in the Spiritist doctrine, studying its profound philosophies on the soul journey and energetic evolution. My calling also led me to the heart of the Amazon, where I participated in authentic shamanic rituals. There, I anchored a profound connection with the elements, honoring fire, water, earth, and air in sacred daily rituals. Through years of devoted practice, I developed my psychic mediumship and honed my ability to communicate with the astral plane. Today, my work is guided not only by the purest elementals of nature and wise ancestral spirits but also by powerful stellar mentors, establishing a strong, grounded foundation for my energetic practice.

Today, devoting myself full time to my mission through The Gratitude Healer since May of 2025, I integrate this vast reservoir of mystical wisdom with the science of quantum physics and subconscious rewiring. I have always taught many people about manifestation, and in my practice, I utilize powerful modalities like Holy Fire III Reiki, Karuna Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, and shamanic clearings. I also work extensively with the frequency of natural crystals and provide guidance through Oracle and Tarot cards, always beginning my readings from the right side to ensure proper energetic alignment.

Many observe the way I cocreate my reality and view it as magic. In truth, it is the result of continuous study, practical testing, and deliberate technique. I test absolutely everything I learn. When I share a practice, it is because I have personally applied it and experienced tangible physical results. My greatest joy is sharing these tools to help you discover your own power to realize your dreams. If a new technique makes sense to me, I always try it, and the outcome is usually another great manifestation in my journey!
